Where Are They Now?
The word is out. Young Talent Time is coming back to the small screen. Hosted by singer-songwriter Johnny Young, Young Talent Time was a much-loved family variety show on the Ten Network. The show ran from 1971 to 1988 following a simple but engaging formula. Each episode featured the Young Talent Team singing popular and classic hits interpsersed with contestants vying to win the Young Talent Time Quest. The show invariably closed with Johnny Young and the Young Talent Team seranding the audience with a lullaby-style version of the The Beatles, “All My Loving”.
Young Talent Time helped launch many careers including those of musical comedy stars Debra Byrne and Philip Gould, international pop sensations Tina Arena and Dannii Minogue and opera singer Danielle De Neise who was the youngest ever winner of the Talent Quest.
Even Kylie Monogue made an appearance on the show belting out a rockin’ version of Sisters Are Doing It For Themselves with her sister Danii. Check out those 80s hairstyles!

This is great. Thank you for sharing in this post.
Our pleasure Heather. Good luck inspiring your own little stars at the Academy. Maybe we’ll be doing a post on some of them in the future!
