Time In Motion

Performing Arts Collection curator Margot Anderson and exhibition designer Diana Dzelalija discuss signage strategies.

The costumes have been dressed, the headdresses positioned and the photographs mounted and framed. Today is all about finishing touches but tomorrow it’s over to you as we open our new exhibition, ‘Time In Motion: 50 Years of The Australian Ballet’, in Arts Centre Melbourne’s Gallery 1.

‘Time In Motion: 50 Years of The Australian Ballet’, celebrates the enduring style, strength and passion of The Australian Ballet and its creative output over the past 50 years. It features treasured items from both the Performing Arts Collection and The Australian Ballet’s own archive and illustrates the company’s dynamic rise to the heights of international success.

The exhibition will be on display in Melbourne until 23 September before hitting the road for a second season at the State Library of New South Wales in Sydney from 12 November to 10 February 2013. Make sure to stay tuned for details of upcoming public programs and the launch of our, ‘Time In Motion: 50 Years of The Australian Ballet’, website.
